Prom day (2)
“I hate Prom Day… don’t tell me… oh come on… she’s 16 and she doesn’t need a chaperon… well I didn’t need one at her age…”
That’s what Ray Chambers tries to say to his wife Kenna about their daughter Maddie well Madison Rae Chambers, as said before she’s 16 years old and attends the selective private school Harmony Hill High School in Watertown, South Dakota. Madison is an amazing student but this year is her first Prom Day dancing with a boy and for that she has no idea how to behave properly, she knows from her mom she can’t do anything with a boy and feels stressed about going dancing with one on this evening…
For the occasion Madison is wearing stunning black and white flowery dress, her hair done by her mom Kenna, she loves it, same for her nails done professionally this time. Her father takes her to the Prom in high school watching all these beautiful girls in dresses and all the boys in tuxedo, he feels a strange urge to look at the girls, he takes a drink, non-alcoholic since it’s in the high school but somehow, he kept his bottle of whisky, drinking all of it in front of the students.
Then as time passes, he behaves poorly towards the students, Maddie feels so bad about her father’s behave, she even cries as she messages her mom to come for her. Kenna on her way to pick up her baby girl, her eyes red with tears of sadness for her baby and rage for her husband.
On the school porch, she hugs her daughter as she screams to her husband: “ARE YOU HAPPY NOW… YOU… YOU HUMILIATED OUR DAUGHTER… ON THE MOST IMPORTANT NIGHT OF HER LIFE… I HATE YOU RAY… I HATE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH… I WISH YOU NEVER WERE INTO OUR LIVES…”
Kenna and Maddie leave the school and Ray alone, he feels stupid as shame and guilt hit him hard. He falls on the school’s pavement outside in the evening cool air, his eyes heavy as lead, while he watches his phone showing it’s past midnight and the day of tomorrow… Sunday, then he falls asleep.
When he wakes up… something is strange… he’s not outside, he doesn’t have any hungover like he has after drinking heavily, he remembers everything that happened yesterday… spending time with Maddie and Kenna, trying on the dresses… “wait… no… I… I didn’t do that… what’s happening to me…” he says to himself but as he speaks out loud…
He realizes his voice is higher and softer than he remembered… he gets up and sees a bathroom next to the bedroom still in dark as the clock on the bedside table says it’s 6:50 am, he switches on the light and suddenly he almost screams but his voice dies in his throat… the reflection shows up a woman… no… a girl in pink panties and tank top, her face is younger… same age as Maddie, her hair is chestnut and long with beautiful waves, her eyes are blue, her face round and cute very young. Her body is thin and strong, with muscles, 6 packs abs like she trained for hours every day with a strict diet, then she realizes something is in her mouth and as she smiles, she realizes she’s got braces on her upper and lower jaws with white rubber bands.
She takes a quick shower until she hears a voice saying: “Lucy… hunnie… breakfast is ready…”
And Lucy to answer “coming mom…”
Of course, she puts her hand on her mouth since her voice is higher and soft… while she’d have never said that… However, she puts on some panties, pants and hoodie before getting her breakfast in a house she has never seen before… and yet it looks familiar. In her hands she’s got an ID card from high school as it says
When she sits next to those people she calls her parents now, Lucy is in full command of the body and Ray is imprisoned in this body. After breakfast and brushing her teeth, Lucy and her mom are together for hours as she gets ready for the prom, her mom is doing her hair and makeup as Lucy is thinking about Maddie, how they met in 1st grade and became best friends before becoming secret girlfriends then official girlfriends, she remembers their first kiss after a cheer training, they come out to their families and school, since then they’re the mascots of the cheer squad and school to show how progressive they are.
Once ready, Lucy shows up to her dad in her black dress with jewels and her pink nails since pink is her favorite color, her dad says: “You look so beautiful my princess, if you’re not the Prom Queen with such beauty… I don’t know what’s going on then…”
Lucy smiles and hugs her dad and her mom until she joins Maddie outside as Lucy says in total aw “Oh my Gosh… Maddie babe… you’re stunning…”
Maddie smiles back as she says: “Aw thank you baby… says the one that is truly the most beautiful girl on Earth…”
They go together to the Prom at school as it is only girls night since school has forbidden any men on the ground… A bit later Maddie and Lucy pose together in these adorable pictures with Lucy in the black dress, her pink nail polish and her braces and Maddie in the same flowery and stunning black and white dress, her stunning hair and her perfect manicure.
Later that day, the girls didn’t win the title but they still had amazing evening as Lucy writes down the pictures she has just published:
As she writes the message, deep down her subconscious, Ray is screaming to let him go and screams that Maddie is his daughter not… girlfriend… but Lucy simply smiles and says: “Oh don’t worry… Maddie is mine and I’ll love her forever just as she deserves to be loved…”
