New Year... New Girl
“… 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR…”
That’s what Rosamund’s TV was blaring to celebrate the New Year to come. Rosamund Curtler is an elderly lady… in her late 70’s she’s alone for so many years… her husband is dead; her children and grand-children are away. Rosamund is all alone for years and she’s now bitter and resentful to anyone and her bitterness could demoralize the happiest people in the world. Nothing could cheer her up, so after the change of year, Rosamund switches off her TV and goes to sleep.
The morning after, Rosamund wakes up at dawn as usual and when she goes to her kitchen to get her tea ready; she sees an envelope and a package on the floor, she’s surprised because there’s no mail on this day normally and when she looks closely on the envelope; she sees it’s the right address but absolutely not the right name:
She opens the envelope and puts on her glasses to see what’s written there.
We are so thrilled and honored to announce you are taken on the volleyball team of the Jacksonville Highschool. Please find with this letter the application form that must be signed by your parents and also find there your new uniform.

Rosamund watches the letter again and again failing to notice that her house she has always lived in all her married life is now changing, the sad house with no decoration is changing for a fully Christmas decorating house, with a warm fire in the chimney, a nice Christmas tree all decorated, TV is switched on blaring some music, in the kitchen someone is humming same music as the TV…
At this moment Rosamund realizes something is wrong, this house is not hers, someone else is living here but before she could do anything about it, she feels herself levitating and brought back to her bedroom… this one has changed too, her old bed uncomfy she didn’t change since 20 years at least is disappeared for a much nicer and comfier queen size bed with light blue bed sheets, her room is different with lots of school books and romance, sports books and on her night table instead of her different pills, there’s now just a glass of water and a book, The Miracle Season by Kathy Bresnahan. A desk is placed before the window, full of books and school stuff and a shelf with medals and trophies from different disciplines like running, track but also volleyball.
At this moment Rosamund is hold on her bed and her clothes tearing down and tie Rosamund’s arms and legs and her transformation begins: her tiny 5.5 ft. height gets higher as she’s now 5.9 ft. height the remain of her clothes tears up revealing her old body but she sees something she thought impossible, her wrinkles and old age body regain youthful as her skin is completely smooth as her tattoo she got 50 years ago as a rebel disappears, her straight grey hair is now curly and takes back its natural chestnut almost blond color, her breast so saggy after four pregnancies is full of youth again and deflates from a D cup to a small B cup with pink areolas, her vagina is fully functional again… Rosamund can’t believe what just happened but a glimpse on her mirror gives her a big shock as she sees her new reflection… she looks like a teenage girl.
At this moment the package from earlier with the envelope opens itself revealing a volleyball uniform with a long sleeves t-shirt with the school colors, tight shorts, panties and also sport bra, socks and shoes, knees protections… all from the same sponsor… Adidas. Rosamund does her best once again to free herself with her new youthful energy but to no avail, panties find its way to her long legs till her crotch and hips, followed by the sport bra from Adidas covering her cute tits, the shorts, socks and shoes and finally her t-shirt with the number 22 written on the front and the back with her name Cutler… her mouth is forced opened as her teeth are covered with a set of braces.
After the clothing, Rosamund feels her memories leaving her head, she forgets about her life with her husband, education of her children, her own education, her parents and even her name… she remembers her name but no longer as herself but as a distant member of the family she has barely knew… her sons and daughters-in-laws are no longer… they’re now her uncles and aunts… her son David and his wife Melanie are now her parents… her name is now Victoria Raylene Cutler born November 22nd 2006 here in Jacksonville, she has grown up with her parents and brother and sister, she loves her family so much and as long as she can remember, Victoria loves sports, she started young with swimming then running, she played a bit of soccer but finally was back to running where she gained her first trophies and finally she discovered volleyball and since that she didn’t stop playing and with her school team she gained many others trophies… For this year 2024 she hopes to gain another trophy for her school and her teammates she loves as her second family.
Now that everything is ready, Victoria opens her eyes, she’s in her bedroom as she hears her mom saying: “Vicky come here now… show us your new outfit hunnie…”
Victoria comes down giving her best position as she says: “Here your best volleyball captain haha…”
Her mom saying: “Yeah… that’s right baby girl… wow… you look gorgeous in it…”
And her father to say: “Where’s my champion? Wow your mom is right… you’re stunning… go outside… I’m gonna take a picture of you…”
Victoria joins her father outside and takes a ball with her, her dad takes the picture, Victoria on her side poses, in her eyes she is afraid of no one and wants to win for her team, just like her model in the book she’s reading… Caroline Found.
After the picture, Victoria is back with her family in the house, she gets in her room till she hears her phone buzzing for message, she gets it and sees first her ID saying:
She watches her phone, it’s a message from her best friend Ellen and volleyball coed wishing her happy new year. She answers wishing the same, till she’s got a message from her dad sending the picture he took earlier, she puts it immediately on her social media writing down:
