Christmas Love
It’s going to be the first time in 31 years for Rachel Leland, she’s not going to be with her parents for Christmas. Indeed, since last few months Rachel is in prison, she murdered her husband. She had every good reason of the world to kill him since he used to beat her, harass her, control every aspect of her life for the last 12 years now. Then one evening after he slapped her again and again, she took a knife on the counter and she stabbed him again and again and because of this rage, the judge and jury put her in prison for the next 30 years.
During the prosecution, Rachel’s parents were there to support her but they couldn’t look at her in the face, because they were responsible in a way… because they pushed their unique daughter in the arms of this monster all those years ago but Rachel doesn’t have any grudge on them, she loves them no matter what. Tonight, though in her cell, she cries out thinking about her parents, her life and finally her youth… she remembers her wedding and before that her romantic rendezvous with her husband Carl.
Then she remembers her first time meeting Carl, she was 16 years old and he came to her house and took her out, at this moment Rachel was not in the mood because she had someone else in mind, her best friend Mallory and Rachel was so in love with Mal and that day she was about to tell her feelings to Mal but she never showed up or answered her phone calls or messages, she simply disappeared into thin air.
While thinking about all those memories, Rachel falls asleep and starts dreaming about Mallory as suddenly someone appears out of nowhere… looking like a woman or a man, Rachel is not sure but she knows one thing for sure… this person is stunning.
It comes closer as it says: “Rachel… do not be afraid… my name is Azalyah and I am your guardian angel… I am here to give you a gift… I am not allowed to do this but I know this is the best thing to do… you lived the hardest moments you could imagine and I have seen your dreams… let me tell you the truth. Mallory was also in love with you but the day before you were supposed to talk to her… Carl went to see her and forbade her to ever talk to you again because you were his own… I give you the opportunity to come back 15 years earlier… and tell her your true feelings… good night Rachel… you also deserve Christmas love…”
When Rachel wakes up, it’s the morning… still early because it’s only 8 a.m. on her alarm clock… But she feels something is wrong “Wait… wh… how is it possible I have an alarm clock in my cell… and… pink bed sheets… wh… is this angel was true yesterday… OMG… no I must be dreaming…”
Rachel pinches herself but if it's a dream it’s a damn real one, she gets up her bed wearing her favorite pink pajama with a Bambi t-shirt and short, she goes to her windows to open the curtains and sees the view she has seen for the first 18 years of her life, she recognizes her neighbors, Mrs. Dulley with her dog so cute and loving cuddles, also Mrs. Jones and her youngest baby Jennie. Rachel is in total disbelief and looks at her wallet… her Hello Kitty wallet with her ID saying:
When she sees her picture with her long chestnut hair and cute braces smile, Rachel goes to her mirror to see herself at the age of 16 years old, she sees her hair back to her original color… since her wedding, Carl forced her to dye her hair blonde and when she smiles, she sees her beautiful braces smile and she has never felt so happy to see them back in her mouth… the whole thing is true and now Rachel can change the course of her life.
When she gets downstairs to have some breakfast, she’s so happy to see her parents 15 years younger and also her sister Wendy, she gives them a cuddle as her father says: “Oh you have something to ask us to be this sweet… well since your last report card was excellent, I have no objection to let you going out today.”
Rachel says as she gives her father a kiss: “Thank you Daddy… yes I wanted to see Mallory today…”
Rachel takes her breakfast with everybody and after getting ready with a pair of jeans and t-shirt because today is very nice weather here in California, sunny and nearly 72°F here in Beverly Hills. Rachel is on her way to Mallory’s house, she waves to Mallory’s brother and when she rings the door’s bell, Mallory answers so happy to see her bestie: “Hey Rachel so happy to see you… come in…”
Rachel to answer: “Hey Mallory sorry to bother you… can we talk in private… I… I have something to tell you quite important…”
Mallory shows her living-room since her parents went for work today and Rachel says: “OK… well… where to begin… Mallory… I… wanted to tell you that… mmmph…”
Rachel couldn’t end her sentence because Mallory understood the assignment and since she has the same feelings for Rachel, she says after the kiss: “I know babe… and… I always loved you since childhood but I was afraid you were more into boys and especially… Carl Leland…”
At this moment Rachel says: “About him Mal… I… I have something to tell you… I… I want you to believe me… tomorrow he’s going to come to see you about me and be… really mean to you… can… can you ask your brother to stay in case he comes tomorrow… I… I’d feel reassured…”
Rachel starts crying and Mallory immediately tells her: “Aww babe… of course I’ll tell him to stay… yeah if it’s true about him, he’ll kick his ass… love you baby girl…”
Rachel and Mallory kiss each other as they promise to see each other tomorrow…
Carl wakes up early and sees Mallory’s parents leaving their house for work, he knows he’s all free to go and gives her a lesson she’d not forget… he knocks at Rachel’s door, she appears on the door: “Oh hi Carl… what’s happening?”
Carl to be aggressive: “Listen to me you dyke… you better not come closer to Rachel because she’s mine an… wh… oh hey Justin… I… I thought you were with my brother…”
Mallory’s older brother Justin is coming and says: “Yes I was supposed to but Mallory told me if I could stay just in case and I’m glad I stayed… you piece of shit… I’d have never believed it that you’d talk like that to my sister… you better present your excuses before I make you losing your teeth you bastard…”
Carl runs back home too afraid, he wants to call his dad and invent some fake stories to make Justin and Mallory having problems but once home he’s got a surprise… Chad his own brother is waiting for him as he says: “There you are… you fucking asshole… I had to see the video Justin just sent me to believe him… you better leave this house and never come back… you’re not my brother anymore… son of a bitch…”
As he says this, Chad punches Carl in his guts, Carl runs away in his car and leaves the house and the city… he’s so mad about everyone and thinks about any kind of revenge but didn’t notice the heavy truck coming right in front of him killing him on the moment and his car burnt down as well…
Later that day, Rachel and Mallory are back together, they have heard about the tragic death of Carl but no one regrets him since he was an asshole not even his family.
Rachel and Mallory are together in the shack behind Mallory’s house with Justin, for the occasion, Rachel wears a cute dress with a black cardigan, and Mallory wears also a cute black dress. Chad and Justin join them and Chad makes them laugh with a story as he’s taking this picture with Mallory on the right smiling and showing her stunning blue eyes, Rachel in the middle laughing about the story showing her cute braces smile and in the back Justin smiling…
Chad and Justin leave the girls for their football training knowing they’re now safe, Mallory shows a mistletoe and puts it with the Christmas decoration as she says: “Merry Christmas my love… we need to kiss under the mistletoe… I love you baby girl…”
As they kiss together Rachel says so happy: “Christmas Love is definitely the cutest love ever… Merry Christmas baby…”
